Preparing for a Sweet New Year

Preparing Individuals for a Sweet New Year   This past Wednesday, August 25th, Apartment Program Residents visited the Alpert Jewish Family Service offices to assemble Rosh Hashanah Baskets for clients of our agency. Residents decorated the boxes with well-wishes for “A Good and Sweet Year”. Boxes were filled with delicious traditional Rosh Hashanah items; including apples and honey, gefilte fish, Matzah Ball soup, and more. Mentoring 4 Kids Program has “Improvised” Fun!

This past Thursday The Judith & Jack Rosenberg Mentoring 4 Kids program held one of its sponsored quarterly group activities via Zoom. Elevate Improv facilitated a fun and interactive, virtual improv class. The matches played silly warm-ups, engaging games, and comedic exercises while building connections, laughing lots, and having fun. Holocaust Survivor Speaks to Independence Middle School Students

Every Holocaust survivor’s story is different and each experience unique. The testimonies remain powerful and relevant, as they bring history alive beyond books. Movin’ and Groovin’ with M4K

Alpert JFS’ Judith & Jack Rosenberg Mentoring 4 Kids (M4K) program is shaking things up, providing new, interactive activities for its mentors and mentees! In mid-May, 14 of 16 matches, along with yet-to-be-matched kids and mentors came together online for Game Night.
