Dr. Willy Philias Joins Alpert JFS Psychiatry Team

Alpert JFS is excited to announce that Psychiatrist Willy Philias, M.D., is now a member of our Behavioral Health Team. Dr. Philias says there are four professions young Haitian men consider—lawyer, economist, engineer, or doctor. “I chose medicine because I wanted to help people.” Unlike many of his peers growing up in Port de Paix, Haiti, Dr. Philias spent a lot of time at the local library. “I read everything—books about geography, philosophy, and history. Synagogue, Congregants Raise Money To Support Agency’s Food Program

Jewish Journal Previews Passover Food Deliveries

  South Florida Jewish organizations are delivering Passover meals to families in need, Holocaust survivors and other homebound seniors throughout the next few weeks leading up to the holiday, which begins on the evening of April 15.
