Play Therapy Program

Young children, often not able to verbalize their feelings, may need specialized “non-verbal” types of treatment to achieve the best results. The play therapists at Alpert JFS are trained to utilize therapy techniques that involve clay, paints, puppets, dolls, etc., with which the child can express his or her feelings, and explore new, more successful ways of coping.

The ongoing interchange between the our child psychologists and the children adds to the strength of the service, with the capacity for seamless, coordinated treatment, contributing to positive outcomes and improved mental health.
