MELVIN J. & CLAIRE LEVINE JEWISH RESIDENTIAL & FAMILY SERVICE
Staffed by highly trained direct care professionals, JRFS’ Group Homes provide spacious accomodations, comfort, security, and 24-hour support for six to seven coed residents ages 21 and older. Each resident enjoys a private room with the ability to decorate and furnish to his or her individual liking.
Customized menus are prepared by a dietician to ensure all nutritional needs are met. Food is prepared in our kosher kitchens and then served family style.
Our residents participate in enriched social programming through various community and individual activities and actively participate in community work programs and volunteer opportunities. All aspects of our program are designed with documented individual goals, emphasizing improved functioning and increased independence across a variety of life skills. Staff are available at all times, for coaching, medication administration, support, and one-to-one encouragement.

I am a young man, 39 years old, and I recently moved to the Dekelbaum Home at LJRFS. I am happy living here. The people are nice. The house is clean. I enjoy the food and activities. My room is nice, I get to make it look like my own and it has a big closet. Before I came here, I had a good job in New York, but I had an accident and nearly lost my life. My sister lives in Boca. She’s been my guardian angel. She helped me find this place. The staff helps me here when I need them. I love going to the activity center at the apartment program, especially playing cards, art projects and the cooking lessons. I’m supposed to be going into a work program soon. I look forward to that. Hopefully, with the help I am getting, I could get a job!
