No Excuse for Abuse Evening

A heartfelt thank you to those who joined us on Sunday, February 25, for our 50^th Anniversary Celebration and 20th Annual No Excuse for Abuse Evening.

More than 500 people came together at the Cohen Pavilion at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach to celebrate the life-changing impact of Ferd & Gladys Alpert Jewish Family Service and Melvin J. & Claire Levine Jewish Residential & Family Service.

Raising more than $750,000 – a record for our agency – this year’s event marked a double milestone, commemorating the agency’s 50th anniversary and the 20 years of ‘No Excuse for Abuse.’ The occasion highlighted five decades of Alpert JFS’ unwavering dedication to excellence in human service delivery, domestic abuse prevention, mental health support, suicide awareness, and more.

A special thank you to our featured speaker, comedian and author Gary Gulman, for his fresh and honest take on mental health. His standup performance was both hilarious and inspiring.

We extend our sincere gratitude to this year’s co-chairs, Dr. Paula Newmark, Wendy and Geoff Stahl, and Carolyn and Michael Yasuna, for making Sunday’s event meaningful and impactful. The enduring success of this event over the past two decades is a testament to the diligence and dedication of hundreds of co-chairs, committee members, sponsors, partners, and supporters, many of whom were in attendance on Sunday. We thank each of them for helping to make our signature event the most highly anticipated gathering in our community each year.
