Honoring Champions of Belonging

For their leadership, generosity, and commitment to creating a community where everyone belongs.

Jane Terker Perelman & Bruce Terker

For siblings Jane Terker Perelman and Bruce Terker, Alpert Jewish Family Services and Levine Jewish Residential & Family Services (JRFS) is more than an organization-it’s family. Their bond with Alpert JFS and JRFS began through their sister Beth, who has been a resident at the Levine Jewish Residential & Family Service Apartment Program in Palm Beach Gardens for almost 25 years. This program supports adults with mental illness and developmental disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling lives in a less restrictive environment.

Jane and Bruce made a generous endowment commitment of $1 million dollars in honor of their parents, and to support the operations of the newly opened Center for Belonging and Wellbeing. The Center embodies the exceptional care that Beth has received.

“You don’t always see the direct benefits of philanthropy, but in this case, we really do. We are seeing the difference it makes in real time”

– Jane

Our Sponsors

Seeds of Chai

Welcome to Seeds of Chai, a transformative initiative by the Center for Belonging and Wellbeing (CBW) and Levine Jewish Residential & Family Service (LJRFS) designed to cultivate growth, resilience, and a profound sense of belonging.

Through this luncheon, we are raising funds to build a state-of-the-art hydroponic garden that will directly support adults with disabilities in our residential programs. This aspirational project represents a powerful opportunity to help those we serve not just live but truly thrive.

The Vision

Imagine the impact of a hands-on garden: picture a person who is mentally challenged learning how to cultivate their own food, engaging socially with peers, feeling a profound sense of belonging, and gaining real, tangible independence.

By funding a vertical, two-sided hydroponic growing system we can make this vision a reality. This modern garden will do much more than grow fresh fruits and vegetables—it will serve as the root of several life-changing opportunities:

Personal Growth & Independence

Providing adults with disabilities the chance to build confidence, connect with others, and develop meaningful life skills.

Vocational Training & Education

Creating hands-on educational experiences centered around science, healthy living, and sustainability, while offering valuable vocational training.

Culinary Arts & Nutrition

Supplying fresh, home-grown ingredients for our culinary arts programs and daily resident meal preparation.

Community & Social Impact

Supporting broader local food insecurity efforts through direct contributions to the Alpert JFS food pantry.

Resilience, Runway & Retail
Pop-up Boutiques

Step into an elegant and inspiring shopping experience at the inaugural Resilience, Runway & Retail Luncheon, where fashion, philanthropy, and community come together for a truly meaningful cause.

Guests will enjoy exclusive access to a collection of 20 curated pop-up boutiques featuring distinguished local retailers and specialty merchants. Designed to delight and inspire, the boutiques will showcase an exceptional selection of merchandise, including designer and fine jewelry, contemporary fashion, accessories, home décor, artisan gifts, specialty card and game collections, and one-of-a-kind treasures.

A percentage of proceeds from participating vendors will benefit Levine Jewish Residential & Family Services (JRFS) and Alpert Jewish Family Service (JFS), supporting innovative programs that empower individuals with special needs and their families through services that promote independence, connection, dignity, and wellbeing.

A highlight of the marketplace will be the Center for Belonging & Wellbeing Artisan Collection, featuring handcrafted items created by talented residents and participants. Their work reflects creativity, determination, and the power of belonging, offering guests the opportunity to purchase meaningful pieces while celebrating the abilities and accomplishments of individuals with special needs.
