JFS Care Manager Helps Senior Regain Their Independence and Routine

Rochelle is a 65-year-old woman who has been receiving services from Alpert Jewish Family Service for nearly 15 years. She receives subsidy care management, psychiatry, counseling, friendly visitor and food pantry services, Meals on Wheels, and chore service. She has limited family and social support and minimal finances. A care manager was assigned to her to identify her physical, emotional, and social needs and develop a comprehensive care plan.   https://www.alpertjfs.org/jfs-care-manager-helps-senior-regain-their-independence-and-routine/

Ruth Albert z”l: The Powerful Impact of a Philanthropic Legacy

Sometimes actions speak louder than words. Such is the case with Ruth Albert z”l, who, upon her passing in 2021, left a generous bequest to Ferd & Gladys Alpert Jewish Family Service. Ruth and her late husband Herman or “Hy,” as he was known to friends, were quiet, humble, and dedicated philanthropists. They believed in hard work, coupled with kindness, and the importance of giving back to institutions that support those in need in the greater Jewish community. https://www.alpertjfs.org/ruth-albert-zl-the-powerful-impact-of-a-philanthropic-legacy/

2023 Annual Meeting

We are so inspired by Tuesday night’s joyful celebration. Over 100 people attended the 2023 Annual Meeting of Ferd & Gladys Alpert Jewish Family Service (Alpert JFS) and Melvin J. & Claire Levine Jewish Residential & Family Service (Levine JRFS). The night’s theme - "We are here for you. Today. Tomorrow. Always" - was a testament to our unwavering commitment to our clients and our community. We are proud to be an organization that provides support and care to those in need, regardless of their background or circumstance. https://www.alpertjfs.org/2023-annual-meeting/
