Staying Safe in the Digital World: A Successful Collaboration on Internet Safety
In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, ensuring that both children and adults stay safe online is more crucial than ever. Yesterday, Alpert Jewish Family Service (JFS) hosted an invaluable session aimed at educating parents and students about navigating the world of technology and social media safely. Over 70 attendees joined us for this important conversation, which featured insights from some of the leading experts in online safety.
Our incredible teen trainers teamed up with Greg Schiller, CEO of the Child Rescue Coalition, and Detective Brian Pierson from the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office to discuss strategies for protecting children and families from online dangers. From understanding the risks of social media platforms to learning about the best practices for safeguarding personal information, the session covered a range of topics essential for today’s digital age.
We were thrilled to partner with JTeen at the Mandel JCC Palm Beach Gardens to make this event a reality. The collaboration allowed us to reach a broad audience, and we are grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of this initiative.
A huge thank you goes out to all the parents, students, and community members who attended and engaged in this vital conversation. Your participation helps create a safer, more informed community for us all.
Stay tuned for more impactful events that focus on keeping our community safe and educated. Together, we can ensure a more secure online experience for everyone.
