The Heart of Alpert JFS: Celebrating Our Volunteers

At Ferd & Gladys Alpert Jewish Family Service, our volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission. Every day, they show up with compassion, dedication, and a shared belief in creating a stronger, kinder community for all.
From delivering groceries to homebound seniors and mentoring youth, to supporting Holocaust Survivors, staffing our food pantry, and lending a caring ear through the C.A.L.L. line — our volunteers embody our core values of Compassion, Integrity, Respect, and Community.
Their acts of kindness ripple through Palm Beach County — bringing hope to individuals in crisis, companionship to those who feel alone, and dignity to families facing difficult times. Each hour given, each meal packed, each conversation shared represents the power of human connection and the Jewish value of Tikkun Olam — repairing the world.
Whether they’ve been with us for decades or just started this year, our volunteers remind us that the smallest gestures can make the biggest difference. We could not do what we do without them.
