Yesterday, volunteers with the Kosher Food Pantry of Alpert Jewish Family Service delivered 130 Thanksgiving meals to friends and neighbors in need throughout Palm Beach County. These included families with young children, homebound seniors, and Holocaust survivors. WPTV was there to capture Marion Shubert’s gratitude as volunteer John Delahunt delivered her meal.

According to Alpert JFS Director of Volunteer Leadership & Food Insecurity Belinda Lasky, this year’s TG deliveries nearly tripled from last year, meaning the need for the services offered through our Food Insecurity program continues to grow.

If you or someone you know is experiencing food insecurity, please call our confidential CALL service at (561) 684-1991 or visit our Food Insecurity page for more information.
