Yom HaShoah / Holocaust Remembrance Day

Today marks Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, a solemn occasion to honor the six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust and to reflect on the courage and resilience of survivors.
We invite you to join us this Sunday, April 27, at Temple Beth Tikvah for a powerful and meaningful day of remembrance. In the shadow of rising antisemitism and the tragic Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023, standing united against hatred is more important than ever.
This solemn day will feature:
-
🕐 1:00 – 5:00 PM: Mobile Museum of Tolerance– Open house exhibit with an on-site educator.
-
🕒 3:00 – 4:00 PM: Memorial Candle-lighting Ceremony – Led by Eva Weiss, Alpert JFS’ Lead Holocaust Care Manager and Community Education Specialist, featuring moving stories from Holocaust survivors in our community.
This is a profound opportunity to remember, learn, and connect as a community. Your presence is not only an act of remembrance, but a statement of solidarity and a reaffirmation of our shared values of compassion, tolerance, and human dignity.
Registration is required. To learn more, please refer to the flyer below.
We hope to see you there.
