We honor our very own Alpert JFS Board member, Irwin Lebow, a World War II Veteran and fighter pilot. Irwin was one of the esteemed speakers as part of the South Palm Beach Memorial Day Woody Gorbach Annual Ceremony. In the photos, Irwin is pictured with another World War II Veteran, Eric Ahronheim, the Mayor of South Palm Beach, Bonnie Fischer and another Alpert JFS Board member, Ellie Hart.

Irwin Lebow flew 97 combat missions in France, Italy and Germany. He received five Air medals and the Legion of Honor from the French government. Irwin has written a book about his WWII experiences, which contains selections from his diary of his fighter pilot missions. His book, A Pilot’s Story, is available on Amazon.
