The Alpert JFS Addiction Outreach & Support Program Task Force holds monthly meetings at our office to continue the important work they’re doing to reduce the stigma of addiction and mental illness in our Jewish community and to create a safe and welcoming environment for Jewish families who are struggling in silence. The Task Force, formed by Bob Herzog, works to bring programs and other forms of support to the community, including a recently launched a weekly support group for Jewish families of those who are struggling with addiction. The weekly support group is free and meets at Alpert JFS’ main office on Fridays.
