Alpert JFS Staff Wears Purple in Support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month

In support of #DomesticViolenceAwarenssMonth, the Alpert JFS staff wore purple last week to raise awareness of Domestic Violence. Domestic violence doesn’t discriminate; it can happen in every community, and victims can be any gender, race, or socioeconomic status. #Every1KnowsSome1 who has been impacted by domestic violence. We all play a role in ending domestic violence and supporting survivors. To be able to support survivors and prevent domestic violence in the future, we all need to normalize talking about it openly and candidly. It’s been a powerful and moving experience for the Holocaust Assistance Program’s care managers to present these to the survivors.
